A tragic motor vehicle accident involving two motorcycles and a sedan on Sunday afternoon has left one motorcyclist dead and another fighting for his life. The Rochester Police Department responded to reports of a collision in the 400 block of Lake Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a devastating scene involving a Toyota sedan and two motorcycles.
Authorities say the sedan was heading southbound and attempting to make a left turn into a local business when it was struck by two motorcycles traveling northbound on Lake Avenue. One of the motorcyclists, identified as Glen Bull, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second motorcyclist, also male, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he remains in very critical condition.
The identities and ages of the motorcyclists have not been fully released at this time, though officials have confirmed Glen Bull as the deceased victim.
The two occupants of the Toyota sedan — both men in their 50s — were also injured in the crash. They were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.
As investigators work to determine the cause of the crash, authorities have not yet released information about whether speed, impairment, or road conditions played a role. The Rochester Police Department’s crash reconstruction team is continuing its investigation.
Lake Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic in both directions as emergency responders and investigators processed the scene.
